David Allan receives the 2017 Julia Levy Award from CIC/SCI
The 2017 Julia Levy Award was presented to David Allan, Principal of Cresswell Advisors and Former Chairman and CEO of YM BioSciences Inc. during the recently held CIC-SCI Canada Awards Dinner, in Toronto, Ontario, March 30, 2017. This Award is presented to recognize successful commercialization of innovation in Canada, in the field of Bio-medical Science and Engineering, with a particular focus on the synergistic relationship between university and business.
Presenting the Award to David, Jolyon Burton, President and Head of Investment Banking of Bloom Burton & Co. recognized that he developed "An integrative, multi-disciplinary, specialist-based – rather specialist - dependent, collaborative approach to the purposeful advancement of life sciences innovation, necessarily focused on improving medical outcomes, which is, ultimately the best kind of significant societal benefit“... "he pioneered this impactful model and contributed so much to our sector – which he still does each and every day"
